From subtle motion to epic sweeps, dynamic filters play an essential role in modern music. Motion Filter is the fastest way to create them, offering an obstacle free workflow and pristine sound quality.
The plugin has two main modes: Sweeper Mode utilizes an envelope follower to apply filter motion that follows your track's dynamics. LFO Mode lets you apply pre-programmed motion patterns and sync them with your DAW.
At subtle settings, Motion Filter can replace a traditional static filter, adding just a touch of organic movement. At extreme settings, it can transform any sonic material into an ear-catching mix element. Use it in sidechain mode to control the filter with external sources like a kick drum.

Ultra-clean filter
Motion Filter's state-of-the-art DSP offers a smoother sound compared to most stock filter plugins. Thanks to its Nyquist-corrected architecture, Motion Filter produces a surgical response across the entire frequency range. This edge might not be audible at conservative settings but becomes apparent with faster filter movements and steep slopes where other digital filters tend to get sluggish.

Envelope Follower or LFO
Sweeper - Move with the dynamics of your track
Sweeper Mode gives you the original Denise Sweeper plugin’s envelope-controlled filter to use your track’s dynamics as a modulation source for the filter movement. Active sounds like loops and percussion instantly get into motion as their peaks and valleys affect the action of the filter.
LFO - Cinematic sweeps on repeat
The new LFO mode lets you craft patterns of recurring sweeps based on wave shapes. Dial in smooth undulating sine sweeps that unfold over multiple bars or create jerky fits and starts with sharp square or saw waves. Get your music pumping by syncing the LFO rate to the host BPM.

Tooltips: Toggle the tooltips on/off
Sidechain: Trigger Motion Filter’s envelope follower with an external sidechain. Not active in LFO mode.
Motion type: Select between Sweeper and LFO motion. Sweeper mode reacts to the incoming audio signal and LFO is controlled by a configurable waveform.
Filter type: Select between low-pass, high-pass, bandpass and notch filter types.
Resonance type: Choose between Regular (stationary) or Dynamic resonance behavior.
Detector Stereo Link: Let the detection function react to a summed or dual mono signal.
Resonance start and end: Set the start and end values for the resonance motion in Dynamic mode.
Filter slope: Adjust filter slope from a gentle 12 dB/octave all the way to surgical 96 dB/octave.
Filter flip: Reverse the direction of the filter motion.
Start: Set the starting frequency for the filter motion.
Freq lock: Lock the frequency start and end points to a fixed ratio.
End: Set the maximum frequency for the filter motion.
Resonance: Adjust the emphasis on frequencies around the cutoff.
Sweeper mode:
- Detection: Set the sensitivity of the dynamics detection.
- Attack: Adjust the attack time of the filter's envelope.
- Release: Adjust the release time of the filter's envelope.
- Release sync: Set the filter envelope's release time to sync with host tempo.
- Skew: Adjust the midpoint of the filter action.
LFO Mode
- Waveform: Select the LFO wave shape.
- Speed: Set the rate of the LFO in Hz or sync to the host tempo.
- Smooth: Soften the edges of the LFO wave to adjust its shape.
Mix: Blend the dry signal with the filter effect.
Bypass: Bypass the plugin.
Output: Set Motion Filter's global output volume.
